She starts the day on the highest of highs,
her beau in the background grimaces and sighs.
With adventure and excitement her sleepiness dies,
"turn off the light" is the look in his eyes.
Nevertheless she skips all about,
all the while knowing how to remove his pout.
She darts back and forth from the kitchen so nimble,
with a treat for her puppy whose love for her is now kindled.
